Tweener previews the Ladies Singles 4th Round at Wimbledon and he likes Simona Halep to beat Madison Keys and Dominika Cibulkova to beat Agnieszka Radwanska & Mens Singles where he likes Marin Cilic to beat Kei Nishikori.
Simona Halep v Madison Keys
I mentioned a few days ago Halep will head out of Wimbledon soon and Keys was the most likely player to knock her out. However, having watched the previous 2 rounds of both players, I believe Halep should be favourite for this match.
The reason Keys is favourite is obvious in the sense that she is the more attacking players and will decide the outcome of the match. However, she isn’t "peaking" right now whereas Halep is playing close to her best. I believe Halep will make too many balls back and control the majority of rallies in this match since Keys will miss a few too many balls. Obviously, if Keys is on a "going" day, she can blow Halep apart but a "lights out performance" from nowhere seldom happens in women tennis. I’m more than happy to take the 5-4 available for the more solid player.

Dominika Cibulkova v Agnieszka Radwanska
Cibulkova is playing some really good tennis at the moment and she has nothing to fear from Radwanska. She beat her in Eastbourne last week in a tight match and I expect something similar again here. The match will be decided by Cibulkova, she will look to hit through the Pole from both sides, whereas Radwanska will play the same way she normally does, mix up play and try to coax errors from Cibulkova racquet.
As we have seen from Radwanska in her match v Konjuh, she can be a mere passenger in a match when she plays a player who can overcome her varied game. They have played each other 12 times, Radwanska leads it 7-5 which is understandable given Cibulkova progressed up the ranking later than Radwanska. In their last 8 matches, the h2h reads 5-3 in Cibulkova favour which shows she is capable of beating Radwanska game.

Marin Cilic v Kei Nishikori
Cilic is another player who I mention will get knocked out somewhere along the line in the 2nd week but I don’t believe it will be in this round and he is a bet v Nishikori.
Reason for the 1st set winner bet is because Kei has been broken in his previous 2 rounds; even Sam Groth had 3 break points in the 1st set v him. Cilic has also won the 1st set in their last 3 encounters even though Cilic lost 2 of those matches.
Match up wise Nishikori is the better all-round player but grass is his worst surface. His serve is not potent enough to make his life easier whereas Cilic will gain a lot more cheap points on his delivery. This match will be mostly about first strike tennis and I believe Cilic has a good chance up to cause a minor upset due to the surface.
