Tommy Mc previews the weekend's Championship games and he has 3 bets which are Fulham, QPR and on Sunday he likes Aston Villa to beat Nottingham Forest.
Fulham v Birmingham
Fulham moved into second spot with a 1-0 win over Blackburn at Ewood Park before the international break. The Cottagers have had an impressive start to the season, unbeaten in their opening five games and have surely now dismissed any fears their fans might have had of them struggling for goals, never mind points after the sale of Mc Cormack and Dembele over the summer.
Birmingham secured a good three points over Norwich before the break when they beat them 3-0 at St Andrews. This was the Blues first win in three games after a defeat to Wolves and a draw with Wigan in their previous two games and it has lifted them up to 10th in the table, taking them closer to the play-off positions which they will fancy themselves for this year.
Both of these teams will be high on confidence after their latest wins and I think Birmingham would back themselves to come away with something from Craven Cottage. However Fulham laid down a marker on the opening day of the season when they beat title favourites Newcastle and they have looked strong since, especially at home where they are very formidable and although this could be a close game, I still fancy them to come out on top.

QPR v Blackburn
QPR got back on track before the break when they beat Wigan 1-0 at the DW Stadium, after they had suffered back to back defeats against Barnsley and Preston. The Rs now sit in 5th, just four points off the top and are an interesting prospect this year as Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink has recruited two strikers and two midfeilders from Europe as well as tried and tested Championship players.
Blackburn's miserable start to the season continued before the break when they lost 1-0 at home to Fulham. Rovers sit rock bottom with just one point to show for themselves, picked up against Burton Albion in an 2-2 draw a few weeks ago. Owen Coyle is finding the early going very tough at Ewood Park and he needs to turn it around quickly to avoid spending the season in a relegation scrap.
On paper this looks a foregone conclusion, however we should be mindful that struggling Preston came to Loftus Road a few weeks back and secured their only points of the season so far with a 2-0 win, although I think Hasselbaink will also be making his players aware of this so that it doesn't happen again. QPR now have four strikers to chose from which should make them more potent and I think they will win this game comfortably.

Aston Villa v Nottingham Forest
Aston Villa suffered their second defeat of the season before the break when they lost 3-1 away to Bristol City at Ashton Gate. Roberto Di Matteo wasted no time after this defeat to strengthen his squad with the arrival of winger Albert Adomah from Middlesbrough and striker Jonathan Kodjia from Bristol City, who they paid a Championship record £15 million for on transfer deadline day.
Nottingham Forest made it three wins out of five before the break when they beat Leeds 3-1 at the City Ground. This is a decent enough start however these three wins have all come at home against bottom half opposition and their two defeats came away from home where they also failed to hit the net. They have since signed striker Nicklas Bendtner to bolster their attack although the most exciting thing he did in his seven years with Arsenal was wear pink football boots, so the jury is still out.
Villa have added strength to an already good squad and I think Adomah and especially Kodjia could be the missing pieces of the puzzle needed for an immediate return to the Premier League. Villa Park is going to be a tough place to go this season and not many teams will leave there with three points and I don't think Forest are strong enough to take anything from this lunchtime kick off on Sunday so I expect Villa to get back to winning ways.
