Teaplanter is previewing Derby Day and will have bets from Epsom, but his first bet comes from Musselburgh in the shape of Ocean Ready.
Blair House was impressive on his debut at Nottingham and is not opposed lightly. However Ocean Ready looks a horse that has been completely messed around with so far in his 4 races and is very interesting on his handicap debut for Sir Mark Prescott here. The son of More Than Ready did not show a huge amount on his first two starts, but on his 3rd outing at Kempton, he showed plenty of ability and quite how the trainer and jockey were not cautioned for the riding display is beyond the comprehension of this writer.
Since that Kempton run, Ocean Ready has had one run, which was back in March at Southwell, when the trainer's horses would not have been at their best. He shaped nicely enough in that contest, but the switch to turf today on fast ground, looks very much in his favour. He has multiple entries over the next week which suggests that the trainer is ready to try and run up a sequence with him and he makes plenty of each way appeal here despite being weak in the market at 7/1 with Stan James.
1 point each way Ocean Ready - Musselburgh 2:15 at 7/1 with Stan James
