Ciamol previews Round 15 of the 2015 Super 15 Rugby season and he likes the Stormers to beat the Rebels.
Stormers vs Rebels
The Stormers come into this weekend with good form and are well-rested after their bye in Round 14. Despite a late charge from the Brumbies in Round 13, the Stormers were able to win the match by one point making it four wins from their last five. Alistair Coetzee has recognised the increased challenge the Rebels face this season having indicated that he will play both Burger and Vermeulen in the starting XV. In the backline, Demitri Catrakilis will punish the Rebels if they infringe within distance (20 points against the Brumbies proves this).
The Rebels run of impressive display came to a halt last weekend when they crashed 46-29 to the Reds in Brisbane. Prior to that they had defeated the Brumbies in Canberra and the Chiefs in Melbourne to put themselves in playoff contention. After looking flat against the Reds, they have made three changes to the starting XV. Tony McGahan will be hoping for better execution and increased pressure from his team, which should lead to a more competitive game compared to last weekend.
The Stormers should be fresh after a week off and the Rebels showed serious signs of fatigue when getting blown away by the Reds in the second half last weekend. They have had a good season, with some good away wins, but I think the home team will gradually draw clear to win by a double figure margin in the end.
Verdict: Stormers by 13 Points.
