Roy The Boy has two bets for the fastest lap in the Singapore Grand Prix.
Take two in Singapore’s Fastest Lap race
Two drivers are massively over-priced to set the Fastest Lap in Sunday’s Singapore Grand Prix.
Kimi Raikkonen may not have an outstanding win-to-race ratio but he does boast some amazing stats when it comes to ‘Fastest Laps’, he has set 45 of them during a 265 race career. In the all-time list only Michael Schumacher has more.
The Finn took two fastest laps in the 2015 season, one last year and has already registered two more this term. Around a circuit which his car is sure to excel, the 37-year-old could easily clam a third this Sunday. He is most definitely over-priced at Betvictor’s 12/1.
But Daniel Ricciardo is even greater value. 9/1 is available at William Hill which is amazing considering he has been the fastest driver (in terms of lap records) here for the past two years.
Like Raikkonen’s Ferrari, Ricciardo’s Red Bull will be fast around here, quite possibly outperforming the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas. It was also good enough to get the fastest lap last time around in Monza, an altogether different circuit.
With four fastest laps last season and car a set to be fitted with a raft of new engine parts on Sunday, the Australian looks a snip at the price. Stop to consider his 2015 fastest laps came at Monaco, Hungary and here in Singapore (the trio of point-and-squirt street circuits) and you may agree he should be no bigger than 3/1.
