Roy The Boy looks at the Bahrain Grand Prix and Sergio Perez looks a solid odds on bet for yet another points finish.
Perez can take his sequence to 13 in Bahrain
It is very easy to pay too much attention to the front-markers in Formula 1 despite, from a punting point of view, the best value and the biggest mistakes invariably being found in markets other than the race winner and featuring the lesser-known drivers.
This weekend there is one such prime example with 4/6 available about Sergio Perez finishing within the points. A ‘points finish’ is simply a top-10 finish and within the top-10 is where Perez has finished in all of his last 12 races.
Of course this is motor racing and misfortune, either mechanical or accidental, can besiege any driver at any time. But Perez seems to have a knack of avoiding race ending incidents. In support of this theory consider Perez has failed to see the chequered just once since the end of the 2014 season (over 40 races).
And in support of our bet recommendation factor in the speed of his 2017 Force India car which has taken both Perez and his new teammate, Esteban Ocon, into point scoring finishes in both Australian and China during the past three weeks.
