Rag2gar previews the final of the PDC World Darts from Alexandra Palace live on Sky Sports and he has a very strong bet on Gary Anderson and also on the total 180s in the match.
Gary Anderson v Adrian Lewis
So it's a repeat of the 2011 World Championship final and actually quite a similar build up to it too, with Anderson once again going into this as the red hot favourite. His 6-0 whitewash of Jelle Klaasen was nothing short of majestic with some of the best darts you're ever likely to see and a sensational 107 average.
It would take a brave man to say he isn't going to beat Lewis this time around and even at 4/9 he looks a reasonable price to successfully defend his crown. Having only dropped two sets en route to the final, his form is rock solid, but this is for sure his biggest test. However everything would suggest he's up to this test. His 9 darter in the semi's against Klaasen was perhaps a moment of crowning glory and completed the only missing piece that was left from this year's World Championship. All that's left for Anderson to do now is to get up on stage and win the trophy. He's beat all in front of him and in some style too.
Lewis was professional throughout in his semi final, but one would wonder if he has the game to beat Anderson in the form he's in. Lewis will win sets, but I doubt he can win the match. One thing there is definitely going to be is a shedload of 180s. Lewis hit 15 in the semi-finals and with the final being a longer format you'd expect he'll get at least that again if not a few more. Anderson only hit eight in his semi-final, but he hit ten in the previous round and is sure to hit more with the challenge of Lewis right behind him. OverS looks the bet on the 180s tonight, but Anderson to win the match looks the banker.
