NFL Week 4 – Cincinnati Bengals v Miami Dolphins Betting Preview

Jumping the Snap previews the Thursday night game between Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals and he likes the Ladbrokes line on Jeremy Hill rushing yards.

Jeremy Hill Rushing Yards

The Miami Defense is ranked 28th in Total Defense and this is broken down into 18th in Passing Defense and 31st against the run, giving up 147.3 yards per game. Only the Saints have given up more yards per game so far this season.

The Bengals faced two of the best rushing defenses in the first two weeks of the season, which were the 3rd ranked Jets and the 4th ranked Steelers. In those contests Jeremy Hill was not really a factor and only carried the ball 20 times as Andy Dalton passed for 366 yards in both games. However when they faced a less imposing run defense in Denver (ranked 27th against the run), Jeremy Hill rushed for 97 yards on 17 carries and scored two TDs.

Against what is a very weak Miami team, it is much more likely that the Bengals will adopt a more balanced approach between the run and the pass and this looks like a good opportunity to get Jeremy Hill onside. The Paddy Power line looks very appealing here as it is set at 60.5 yards and while the odds of 8/11 are short enough, it is not at all difficult to see him exceeding this line, which is set at 60.5 yards. However Ladbrokes quote 17/20 about Over 65.5 yards and this looks the better play, given we would have this line at least set at 75 yards.

He does not need to have a stellar game by any means to cover this line and while he is not a regular 100 yards per game rusher and does not project to be, this is one of the easier match ups for him and we would be confident that he can cover.

Advised Bet:

1.5 points win Jeremy Hill - Over 65.5 rushing yards at 17/20 with Ladbrokes
