Roy The Boy previews the Brazilian Grand Prix and he has a strong bet on Nico Rosberg to land his second race on the spin.
Nico’s recent run and 2014 victory makes him a Brazilian no-brainer
There was an abundance of reasoning to support Nico Rosberg in Sunday’s Brazilian Grand Prix but, with news Lewis Hamilton has been suffering from a fever and he also managed to put a dent in one of his cars when cruising the streets of hometown Monte Carlo earlier in the week, the decision to back the German driver is actually clear-cut.
While Hamilton is the headline news story with the 2015 World Driver’s Champion crown safely on his head, it is easy to overlook Nico Rosberg’s achievements in the past four races.
He has claimed the last four pole positions and set two fastest laps. A rare mistake and huge misfortune courtesy of an unpredicted safety car incident saw him lose the USA Grand Prix, where he traded at 1/6 in-running, but he won last time in Mexico. Prior to that he was in prime position in Russia where a sticky throttle system forced him to retire.
As for back-class, Rosberg qualified on pole in this race last season and took the race win. Teammate, Lewis Hamilton, finished second on that occasion and it is noteworthy he has never won here. In 2012 he did look to have the race at his mercy after qualifying on pole but it was his then teammate, Jenson Button that claimed the victory.
When all factors are weighed-up, with Hamilton’s wellbeing a scale-tipping factor, Nico Rosberg has to be backed at 2/1 with BetVictor, Paddy Power or Coral.
