Tweener looks ahead to day 5 of the US Open Tennis and he likes Elina Svitolina to beat Petra Kvitova and also the over 21.5 total games line.
Petra Kvitova v Elina Svitolina
2 points over 21.5 total games at 1/1 with Betfred
1 point Svitolina win match at 9/5 with Stan James
Petra Kvitova is not playing very well at the moment. Given her style of play, she should get knocked out sooner rather than later. The big question is whether Elina Svitolina can beat her in this round.
Svitolina's consistent all court game should be enough to do that, given she should get enough balls back for the inevitable errors from the Czech's racquet. However, Svitolina form is not all that great, given she was in a slug fest in her last match v Davis and there is a question mark of fatigue due to her long run last week.
Nevertheless, I expect this match to be pretty tight unless Kvitova plays "lights out" which is unlikely, hence the overs bet in total games. Both of these girls would have covered this total games line in their last 2 rounds. There is a h2h to consider in this match, Kvitova leads it 3-1; however I think we can discount it somewhat in this match since one of them was a few weeks ago in the Olympic, where Svitolina had the usual WTA "hangover from a big win loss, she beat Serena in the previous round". The other 2 victories achieved by Kvitova were in Wuhan and Dubai where the courts are quick.
