Clearly, within the Conservative Party, a lot of brown stuff has hit one of the whirly things we are currently using to keep ourselves cool. Usually pre-season friendlies offer very little to get excited about. But Manchester United's 3-2 defeat of AS Roma last night may buck that trend as it featured an audacious 60-yard lob of goalkeeper Ben Amos by Roma's Miralem Pjanic.  A truely sensational goal.
