Birmingham City head Tommy Mc Tuesday Championship Bets

Tommy Mc landed a brilliant treble at the weekend and he has bets on Birmingham, Bristol City and Nottingham Forest all to win in Tuesday's Championship matches.

Birmingham v Preston

Birmingham came away with a point from Loftus Road last Saturday when their game with QPR finished 1-1. Gary Rowett will be disappointed not to have won this game against a struggling Rs side who are in freefall and I think he will make his players mindful of that fact as they face another struggling side tonight and I don't think they will make the same mistake as they look to win this one.

Preston picked up a much needed three points last Friday night when they beat bottom of the table Wigan 1-0 at Deepdale. North End are just one point clear of the relegation places and this looks like it's going to be a long hard season for Simon Grayson's men as they have lost six of their nine games already and have a goal difference of -4.

This is going to be a very difficult game for Preston to get anything out of as Birmingham are on an a five game unbeaten run and have only lost once at home, in a local derby against Wolves which also happened to be their last defeat. I just don't think Preston have enough about them to trouble Birmingham in this game as they are particularly poor at the back and not overly potent up front, so Birmingham should prove too strong for them and extent their unbeaten run as they look to cement a play-off place.

Advised Bet

1.5 points win Birmingham to beat Preston at 5/4 with Betfair Sports, Bet365 and BetVictor

Bristol City v Leeds

Bristol City done the double over Fulham at Craven Cottage for the second time last week when they beat them 4-0, after beating them 2-1 in EFL Cup the previous Wednesday. The Robins have now just lost one of their last seven games in all competitions and have scored seven goals in their last three games as they look to be hitting a bit of form taking them into mid-table.

Leeds made it three wins on the bounce last Saturday when they beat Ipswich 1-0 at Elland Road. Gary Monk's men finally look like they have got their season going as this mini run has taken them away from the drop zone and into mid-table. The one negative I should add here though is that these wins have come against Ipswich, Cardiff and Blackburn who are all struggling in the league.

This could be a close affair at Oakwell tonight as both sides are good at the back, however Leeds have not scored more than two goals in a game yet this season and I think they will struggle to hit the net tonight. City on the other hand have hit two or more goals on numerous occasions and have knocked in seven in their last three games proving they have no problem scoring. This is also the toughest test Leeds have faced since they lost to Huddersfield and I think they will come unstuck tonight as I think The Robins are a stronger outfit.

Advised Bet

1 point win Bristol City to beat Leeds at 11/10 with Coral and Betfred

Nottingham Forest v Fulham

Nottingham Forest were beaten 2-1 by Sheffield Wednesday away at Hillsborough last Saturday as their away day blues continue. Forest have won three of their four home games so far with the only defeat coming to table toppers Norwich, however for some reason they can't seem to do it on the road as they have failed to win any games away from the City Ground so far and if they had they would be further up the league.

Fulham were on the wrong end of a 4-0 hammering last Saturday at Craven Cottage when they were defeated by Bristol City. Fulham had made a great start to the season and were unbeaten before the international break, however they have failed to win a game in their five matches since, including the EFL Cup and have dropped out of the top six and now sit in 13th place. Philippe Montanier will also be concerned that they haven't hit the net in three of those five games.

Forest have proven to be a different beast at home and it's this form that they are relying on until they can sort out their away form. Fulham on the other are struggling home and away and I haven't seen anything from them in recent weeks to suggest that they will be any different tonight and this coupled with their lack of goals lately leans me towards the home victory as The Cottagers poor run looks to continue at the City Ground.

Advised Bet

1 point win Nottingham Forest to beat Fulham at 6/4 with Betfred and Betfair Sports
