Roy the Boy previews this weekend's Austrian Grand Prix and he has bets on Nico Rosberg to win the race and Valtteri Bottas Top 3 Finish along with Felipe Massa and Sergio Perez Top 6 finishes.Austrian F1 GP should be another Mercedes 1-2-3 and maybe a 4-5-6 too
This weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix will be a Mercedes fest if recent results are anything to go by.
The race only re-joined the F1 calendar in 2014 when Mercedes powered cars qualified 1-2, finished 1-2-3 and took six of the top seven places. It was a trick they repeated in 2015.
High speeds and an uncomplicated circuit layout are the reasons for their superiority here and while there are some signs that Ferrari are making gains on the Mercedes of Hamilton and Rosberg, it is the Force India and Williams’ cars (which have Mercedes engines) which we have most interest in this week.
The Williams drivers, Massa and Bottas, qualified 1-2 in 2014 when Bottas took home a bronze medal. Last year it was Massa’s turn to take home a third-placed trophy.
We believe it will be one of this duo that will claim another podium finish behind either Hamilton or Rosberg or both. But which of that pair will actually win? Well, Rosberg is two-from-two here and he is very much the form man.
Furthermore he is ultra-consistent as 14 consecutive front-row starts demonstrate. Throw in his recent results, which have seen him win five of this season’s eight races (eight from his last 11), and he has to be backed for the race win at William Hill or Sky Bet at 7/4.
