Rag2gar previews Week 10 of the NFL and he has bets in the Thursday game between New York Jets & Buffalo Bills in addition to Sunday bets on the Cowboys, Cardinals and overs in two games.
Week ten of this year's NFL season kicks off on Thursday night, when the New York Jets host their divisional rivals the Buffalo Bills in an important game for both teams. At this stage we know both the Bills and the Jets are playing for wildcard places thanks to New England's now routine domination of the AFC East. But this game could go a long way in deciding which of these two teams make the post season. Whilst both teams are strong on defence, I think the Jets have been the better of the two overall and with home advantage on Thursday night I think they're definitely the most likely winners. Their defence is best in the league against the run and that's the Bills main strength. If they can shut the run down like I expect they might then the Jets should have total control of this one. They're my bet of the week.
On Sunday the Dallas Cowboys desperately need a win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if they're to even have a season to salvage when Tony Romo returns next week. Having slumped to the foot of the NFC East, Cassel needs to use everything he's learned about this Cowboys offence from the past few weeks to finally lead his team to victory against a very beatable Buccaneers. The return of Dez Bryant is sure to help, but look for players like the in-form Cole Beasley to be the game winners here. Three touchdowns might be enough to win and this Cowboys offence is certainly capable of that even with Matt Cassel in at quarterback.
Elsewhere on the week ten card the unbeaten Patriots travel to MetLife Stadium to take on the hit and miss New York Giants in what should be an entertaining game. The Giants haven't really beaten much despite their five victories, but one thing they have done in most games is score points. They might have to score a lot of points though if they're going to outscore the machine-like offence of New England. Expect the Giants to go all out for the win in this one but ultimately fall short. Either way, expect a tonne of points.
The last big game of the weekend sees the tough Arizona Cardinals face a tricky away fixture against the Seattle Seahawks. It's safe to say the Seahawks have been disappointing this year and this is no more evidenced in the fact that they are only three point favourites going in to this one. To be fair to Seattle their defence is still one of the very toughest in the NFL. All the stats back that up. It's on offence though where they've really let themselves down. Russell Wilson has just had a torrid opening half to the season and it's unlikely he will be afforded any respite here. The Cardinals have one of the meanest defences themselves in the NFL and this game just looks like an absolute stalemate. Expect touchdowns to be of a premium and the home team to struggle breaking the Cardinals down. I think splitting wagers between under 45 total points and Cardinals +3 on the handicap is a prudent betting strategy for this one.
