Blog – Big Brother & Champions League of Darts

Roy the Boy's latest thoughts on Big Brother and the Champions League of Darts.

Cameron or Cole in BB

Continuing a theme from last week’s blog … the Big Brother contestant who hails from Ireland has been confirmed as being called ‘Cian’ and he has already impressed the public.  That’s the good news, the bad is his top-price of 5/1 (Betfred)

A second fancy is ‘Cameron’ who is the youngest in the line-up, and looks like a young Jimmy Carr with a dry personality to match. Alas his price has collapsed but there is some 4/1 left at Paddy Power.

MVG is Vulnerable

Darts is back on the BBC with the national broadcaster televising an elite field competition called the Paddy Power Champions League of Darts. There’s the usual ‘big-six’ in the eight-player field as well as Simon Whitlock and Dave Chisnall.

Surely Michael van Gerwen has to be considered a serious lay at a shade of odds on.  The Dutchman was eliminated from the first round of the World Matchplay (at 1/25 ON) when we last saw him on out TV screens, he won just one of six World Series events he played this summer and got eliminated from the Dutch Darts Championship a fortnight ago, 6-legs-to-1, by the little-known Irishman William O’Connor.

Based on that I don’t know who is going to win this competition but I don’t think it is going to be MVG.
